These policies are announced in an employee handbook and publicly in condensed form through the corporate website and vendor contracts.

Policies are in English and, where applicable, in Spanish.
– Code of Conduct – employee handbook containing appropriate conduct while on premises as well as during travel representing Artistic Framing
– Environmental guidelines and efforts
– Human Rights
– Vendor Guidelines

Code of Conduct:
All officers and employees are required to adhere to the policies set forth in the employee handbook. The same code of conduct is expected whether you are working within the company offices and factories or representing the company outside of the physical facilities. Any illegal activities, foul language, discrimination, and harassment are prohibited. Proper dress and appearance are expected while on company time. The use of pornographic material and engaging in commercial sexual activities while traveling for company business is prohibited. A zero-tolerance policy is enforced. The reporting of an employee’s violation by another employee will be held in the strictest confidence and will not affect your job as long as you are not involved in a violation of the code yourself.

Environmental guidelines and efforts:
We strive to consciously reduce and reuse whenever possible. Basic habits such as turning off lights and equipment when not in use, recycling garbage, and conserving water are enforced within the offices. We make annual inquires about and adhere to local laws and regulations regarding proper disposal of hazardous waste, if any, and the proper discharge of air emissions that could harm the environment.

The purchase of reclaimed, recycled, or reusable materials from our vendors is preferred whenever feasible. Inquiries for new vendor products meeting these criteria are conducted periodically and listed on purchase orders. Payment of vendor invoices is combined and submitted electronically whenever possible.

Customer product shipments are combined whenever possible in order to use the least number of freight carriers thereby reducing the carbon footprint. The use of electronic receipt of customer purchase orders and submittal of customer invoices and payments is encouraged whenever possible.

Human rights:
Artistic Framing does not tolerate any violation of basic human rights in any of its activities or operations. Discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, age, national origin, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status in hiring and promoting of employees, selection of vendors, or accepting customers, is not tolerated. All employees will be treated fairly and any complaints will be investigated immediately. We are multi-lingual but require anyone in the office or any employee dealing with vendors and customers to possess a basic command of the English language, in both verbal communication as well as written form.

Artistic Framing does not hire anyone under the legal age of employment, nor tolerate child, slavery, or forced labor. Unannounced audits within its facilities are conducted regularly. The same standards are applied in selecting vendors and determining whether to work with a customer.

We provide a safe and healthy work environment for all employees and conduct regular safety meetings. We acknowledge the right of all workers, without exception, to establish and join organizations of their own choosing without prior authorization and without interference from management or from one another, with the provision that it does not interfere with daily operations.

Vendor guidelines:
We strive to select vendors and business partners who uphold the same basic human rights principles; have implemented an environmental policy and comply with existing legislation and regulations regarding the protection of the environment and the health and safety of employees. Vendors are encouraged to replace paper transmission of business transactions with transmissions in electronic form and to inform us of alternative products and services that meet our standards.
