Artistic Framing was founded in 1982 by Tom Wolk and Larry Thomas in the garage behind a small house in what was then very rural Wheeling, IL.
At the time, the goal of these two young friends was to build a quality picture framing business that could support their young families.
For the first several years they even worked at weekend and Holiday flea markets to help keep the business open and growing.
Through the years the business grew and evolved. Creation of the 3 point security system and development of the Artistic Framing “moisture control system” for hospitality bath art are among the contributions Artistic Framing has made to the industry.
A recently consummated strategic alliance helped steer Artistic Framing through the pandemic and to an even greater presence in the industry. This new alliance also fostered the introduction of LT Artistic Framing to exclusively handle a select roster of clients.
All of this has been done while also making a long term, serious commitment towards protecting our precious environment, as confirmed year after year by a leader rating from MindClick.
In over 40 years after the beginning, Tom and Larry are still fully engaged in every phase of what has become one of the largest, most dependable, and diverse wall décor manufacturing businesses.
New and exciting – Artistic Framing/LT Artistic Framing now has an interest in a prominent local printing company and is able to do its own printing!
